Agreed.  Thomas managed to buy enough time and wear down the BEA guys to get the prize - WebLogic and AquaLogic.  Prior versions of Oracle Fusion Middleware were competitive but not as complete as IBM&#039;s Websphere.  I&#039;d expect to see more head to head IBM and Oracle deals in the future.  As for SAP&#039;s R/5, well we may never hear the rest of that story but some might say, SAP should have bid for BEA instead of BOBJ.

		<description>Fusion is no longer vapourware, since the BEA purchase. Prior to that only the BPM pieces made sense; and they are still a long way from the best-of-breed folks ... but Thomas Kurian now has a real story to tell :)</description>
